Non-formal education (NFE) is any organized educational activity that takes place outside the formal educational system. Usually it is flexible, learner-centered, contextualized and uses a participatory approach.NFE is differentiated from Formal Education and Informal Education.
During the SXSW Edu Expo I could know more about the programs offered in Texas. Different organizations (for profin and non profit) offering a bunch of interesting activities to support and complete children’s education (there were programs for all ages, from pre-school to college).

A whole world where educators have a very important mission and where SCHOOLS, FAMILIES and COMMUNITY have to work together to add to this challenge.
